LOMBARD RALLY BATH 2018

Lombard returns

The Lombard name returns to rallying next year with the Lombard Rally Bath 2018, taking place from 19 to 21 October.

In the seventies and eighties Lombard was associated with the UK’s sporting event that attracted the largest number of spectators, the Lombard RAC Rally.

Alongside the social side of the event, the Lombard Rally Bath’s main element will be a tour on the Saturday based on the tarmac special stages of that part of the 1976 event held in the South West – including Longleat Safari Park, Cricket St. Thomas, Wiscombe Park and Porlock.

Featured drivers expected on the tour currently include Stig Blomqvist, Harri Toivonen, Rosemary Smith, Louise Aitken-Walker, Graham Elsmore and Terry Kaby, some driving period rally cars actually driven by them at the time

The Rally will be based at the luxury Bath Spa Hotel with accommodation also available at the nearby three-star Limpley Stoke Hotel.
