 ANGLO CALEDONIAN 2026

Press release: Thursday, 1 October 2026

ENTRIES BUILD FOR RALLY ANGLO CALEDONIAN

  • Entry list growing for two-day November event
  • 115 stage miles in compact two-day format
  • All types of car welcome
  • British Historic Rally Championship finale

Entries are building well for this year's Rally Anglo Caledonian, which will run from a base at Carlisle Airport on Friday and Saturday November 20-21.

The full two-day event will be the longest gravel rally in the UK this season, covering 115 stage miles in Northumberland and Southern Scotland, and is run by the team behind the Roger Albert Clark Rally. The competitive route will cover 53 stage miles on Friday afternoon and evening and a further 62 stage miles through Saturday.

The event is open to all types of rally car, including modern cars and four-wheel drives, and entries are welcome from across the gravel stage rallying community.

Rally Anglo Caledonian will form the final round of the Fuchs British History Rally Championship with one and a half points available, based on the overall result. The rally will decide the destiny of this year's BHRC crown.

The rally will start at 1430hrs on Friday for three nine-mile stages in the central block of Kielder, with service at Kielder Water before a second run through the stages.

Saturday morning's wake-up call is a monster 18-mile stage in Kershope, which is set to be the longest gravel stage in the UK this year. The action then switches into Scotland for the classic Castle O'er and Twiglees stages, before service back at Carlisle and a repeat of the three stages. The first car is due back at the Carlisle finish at around 1700hrs.

The event has an entry fee of £1995 for 115 miles, which is among the best value per mile events in the UK this year.

Rally manager Colin Heppenstall said: "Many of the stages have not been used since the Roger Albert Clark Rally a year ago, so they are in very good order. It will be a rare opportunity to contest a longer rally for anyone looking for a great finale to 2026.”
